1. Definitions

For this Privacy Policy:

  • "Bridges," "We," "Us" or "Our" means Bridges Sober Living Apartments, 8934 Reading Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90045.
  • "Website" means soberapartmentsla.com and all of its pages.
  • "Services" means the sober living housing and related support Bridges provides, including mentoring, medication support, family services, money management, and employment support.
  • "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to an individual.
  • "Recovery Information" means Personal Information about substance use, sobriety, treatment history, medications, or recovery goals.
  • "Usage Data" means information collected automatically when the Website is used, such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.
  • "Cookies" means small files placed on your device by a website, along with similar technologies such as tags and scripts.
  • "Service Provider" means a company that processes Personal Information on our behalf to help us operate the Website or provide the Services.
  • "Resident" means a person living in a Bridges home.

2.1 Information you provide to us

When you call, text, email, or submit a contact or application form, you may provide:

  • name, phone number, and email address
  • whether you are inquiring for yourself or another person
  • Recovery Information, such as sobriety date, substances used, current or past treatment, referring program, medications, and recovery goals
  • housing preferences, desired move-in date, and payment arrangements
  • names and contact details of emergency contacts or family members you authorize us to speak with

If you contact us about another person, please share only information that person would be comfortable with us having, and let them know you have reached out.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, our Service Providers and we collect Usage Data, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected through Cookies (see Section 5).

2.3 Information from third parties

With your authorization, we may receive Personal Information about you from treatment programs, case managers, therapists, or other referral sources assisting with your placement.

3. Recovery Information

We recognize that Recovery Information is highly personal. We collect only the Recovery Information reasonably necessary to evaluate whether Bridges is an appropriate fit and to support Residents during their stay.

We do not sell Recovery Information, use it for advertising, or disclose it to advertising platforms. Access is limited to staff who need it to respond to your inquiry or manage your residency.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We use Personal Information to:

  • respond to inquiries and follow up about housing availability
  • review applications and determine fit
  • coordinate move-in, including with referral sources you have authorized
  • operate our homes and provide the Services to Residents
  • contact your designated emergency contacts if we believe your health or safety is at risk
  • analyze Website usage and improve the Website
  • protect the security of the Website and our records
  • comply with legal obligations

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of residency.

We do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We send email only about your inquiry or residency. We do not add you to marketing lists without your request, and you may unsubscribe at any time.

7. Disclosure of Personal Information

We do not sell Personal Information. We disclose it only as described below.

7.1 Service Providers. We disclose Personal Information to Service Providers that host the Website, process forms, operate our phone, text, and email systems, and provide analytics. Service Providers may use Personal Information only to perform services for us.

7.2 With your consent. We disclose Personal Information to people you authorize, such as a treatment program, therapist, family member, employer, or probation or parole officer.

7.3 Health and safety emergencies. We may disclose Personal Information to emergency responders or medical personnel when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to prevent serious harm to you or others.

7.4 Legal requirements. We may disclose Personal Information when required by law, subpoena or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with a legal obligation
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of Bridges, our Residents, or others
  • investigate or prevent misuse of the Website

7.5 Business transfers. If Bridges is involved in a merger, sale, or reorganization, Personal Information may be transferred to the successor. The successor will be required to honor this Privacy Policy, or we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

8. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including limiting access to staff who need it and using secure Service Providers for forms and records.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to share detailed Recovery Information by phone rather than by regular email or text where possible.

9. Your Choices and Requests

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what Personal Information we hold about you
  • correct inaccurate Personal Information
  • delete your Personal Information, except where we must keep it to comply with law or to keep an accurate record of a residency

California "Shine the Light." Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, California residents may ask whether we have disclosed Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not do so.

10. Adults Only

The Services are provided to adults 18 years of age and older. The Website is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us, and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The last updated date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we use Personal Information we have already collected, we will notify you directly before the change takes effect.
